You can make a difference!
Our volunteers, who act on a voluntary and non-remunerative basis, provide a vital link between the Museum and the community. They include energetic retirees, professionals, and young people who bring their enthusiasm and willingness to learn new things. We match the needs of the organisation with the skills and interests of individuals involved in the programme.
Examples of Volunteer Work
- Library volunteers assist the Librarian with research, indexing and cataloging
- Docents are essential to the school programme, which services thousands of school children annually
- Teens and young adults often lend assistance during the summer holiday as Junior Curators
- Volunteers can also give regular sessions of clerical and technical help as needed
Special projects may require volunteers who can translate or proofread, or who may have skills in photography or computer applications.
